The Pakistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) released the annual results of Class 11th Examination on Sunday, 17 Nav, 2023. The BISE Multan Board has successfully completed its first year and has achieved a class result of ‘A’ with a total score of 3588 out of 40000.
The board has scored highest in Mathematics (88%), Science (86%) and English Language (96%). The lowest scores were obtained in Fine Arts (24%), Computer Science & Informatics (29%), Social Sciences (30%) and Quranic Studies (38%).
According to the data released by the board, girls have outperformed boys in every subject except for Islamic Studies where boys have performed better. There has been an increase in girls’ performance in all subjects over last year with notable exception of Arabic which showed a decrease for girls.
Overall, the board has done well in meeting the Objectives set for it by the Government of Pakistan. Out of 976 schools that participated in the examination, 743 schools have passed while 147 schools have failed. The Multan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has announced the results of its annual examination for the year 2023 in a press release on Sunday. The result has shown that all the boards have performed well except for Bahawalpur Board which has scored lowest. As per the result, Punjab Board has topped with 66pc while Sindh Board has secured second position with 64pc. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board has scored third position with 63pc while Balochistan Board has ranked fourth with 62pc. The Multan Board is place fifth with 51pc. According to the press release, 10,320 students appeared in the annual Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) conducted by board and 5,960 students passed out from 817 institutions across the province.
The examinees comprise boys and girls from classes 10th to 111th as per their respective class registers and appear in single session formulating merit list irrespective of their place of residence or school affiliation during examination week. After final verification of roll numbers and candidature particulars, marks obtaine in subject-wise papers are calculate and scores awarded accordingly.
